Still no charges in hit, skip crash that killed great-grandmother | News
CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO)- No charges have been filed yet against a teenage girl for a hit and run crash that killed an elderly woman in Cleveland. It's not clear when a decision will be made.
19 Action News checked back on this as we discovered, so far this year, the number of deadly crashes in Cleveland has soared.
Last month, Cleveland Police identified a high school girl as the suspect in the death of Maxine Lobins. An SUV hit the great-grandmother as she used her walker on the city's west side, and police say the vehicle never stopped.
Police turned over their investigation to Cuyahoga County Prosecutors, but still no charges filed. The prosecutor's office has requested more information about the vehicle and the driver.
